Your funding agency requires evidence of how their grant was spent.

A funding agreement will often ask for certification of grant expenditure. It can be self certified or the funding agency may specify that it must be certified by a registered auditor. Bates Weston Audit Limited is registered to carry out audit work in the UK by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Certifying grant expenditure typically requires us to review your income and expenditure records, and your supporting documentation for the grant claim. We will speak with you to determine whether your income and expenditure meet the requirements of your funder and where all conditions are met, your income and expenditure is accurate and aligns with your accounting records, we will issue the necessary certification.
