On a freezing night (16 October2023) at Padel Derby on Pride Park, Bates Weston’s 5 a side football team took on Innes England, Clowes Developments and Chevin Homes in a friendly tournament, instigated by the guys at Chevin.
We made it to the final, and in a thrilling match, where Bates Weston were 2 goals ahead at one point, Innes England equalised making it 2 all at full time.
The dreaded penalty shoot out ended with Bates Weston 2 – 1 up.
